This position can be based in MA, NJ, VA or NC.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Loss Prevention department maintains a secure environment, safeguarding company assets, customer deliverables, and ensures the safety of our employees. The Security vertical will focus on crime prevention and other business liabilities, through investigation, audit, and physical security compliance. The Area LP Security Manager executes operationally within their assigned region(s) by engaging with facility personnel to investigate areas of risk and liability, ensures security systems are working, and policies are adhered to.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct internal, external, and supplier security investigations to include theft, workplace violence, and others within assigned area(s).
- Engage legal department and document law enforcement requests, warrants, subpoenas, arrests, and prosecution. Appear in court and testify as complainant or witness as required.
- Engage with facilities to immediately rectify or else escalate a security-related government regulatory deficiency or life-threatening hazard upon first discovery.
- Conduct and document various internal, external, and supplier security audits and ad hoc inspections.
- Support DCs, offices, and suppliers in the development of effective corrective action plans. Monitor plans and ensure they are sustainable.
- Write and deliver timely and accurate reports such as investigation narratives and audit recaps as required.
- Promote security training and awareness through the dissemination of security information or materials. Educate LP and cross-functional teams when wrong security processes are observed.
- Work individually or through committee on own projects or those assigned.
- Provide project owners with end-user security requirements for new or updated equipment or processes.
- Support cross-functionally, LP cross-vertical, or cross-BU Security initiatives, as assigned.
- Support tasks relative to security program process improvements.
- Work to achieve individual and team KPIs.
- Participate in EOS activities and improvements.
- Participate in feedback and coaching opportunities.
- Ensure knowledge and understanding of all current Loss Prevention policies.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in a multi-unit operation within Loss Prevention, Law Enforcement, or related field.
- Wicklander-Zulawski interviewing and interrogation training required within first 6 months on the job.
- Industry certification preferred (i.e. LPC, CFI, PCI, PSP, CPP).
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
- Proficient with MS Office including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficient knowledge and experience working with security systems such as ctv, access control, alarms and locking hardware.
- Proficient in listening, written and verbal communication, problem solving, time management, and decision making.
- Maintains confidentiality and exhibits the highest level of personal integrity.
- Experience conducting and documenting Loss Prevention investigations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Up to 30% overnight travel with short notice at times.
- Physical demands are mostly consistent with a professional office setting with regular sitting at workstation up to 100% of the work shift.
- Occasionally standing and walking in a warehouse environment exposed to cold, hot, and changing temperatures; will constantly experience noise at medium level not damaging or loud enough to require protective equipment; will frequently be exposed to dust, dirt and changes in lighting.
- May be required to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. (additional weight may be required with assistance).
Annual Salary of MA & NJ 87,700 - 106,400 ,VA & NC 79,800 - 116,000. This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include but are not limited to your specific skills, your work location, how many years of experience you have, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
