Job Summary
The IT Surveillance & Security Technician II is responsible for managing, maintaining, and advancing enterprise surveillance and physical security systems. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with project coordination to ensure reliable operation of CCTV, video management, and door access control systems across multiple facilities.
What You Will Do
Provide technical leadership and oversight for surveillance and door access control systems across multiple sites
Plan, coordinate, and execute system installations, upgrades, and maintenance projects from start to completion
Manage and monitor operational performance of DVRs, cameras, monitors, multiplexers, switchers, and related components
Configure, administer, and maintain access control systems across facilities
Support access control technologies including Kantech-Entrapass, Virtual Keypad, Keri, CCure, Paxton, and Premisys
Manage and maintain video surveillance platforms such as ExacqVision, Axis Communications, and Speco
Interpret technical drawings and engineering plans to ensure system accuracy and efficiency
Coordinate with vendors for equipment procurement, system upgrades, and maintenance support
Perform hardware and software installations, updates, and system integrations
Evaluate and monitor network and power infrastructure supporting surveillance and security systems
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain system uptime and reliability
Maintain detailed system documentation, drawings, standards, and troubleshooting procedures
Track performance metrics, uptime standards, and compliance with internal policies and safety guidelines
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent professional experience
5+ years of experience managing surveillance, CCTV, and door access control systems
Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade surveillance and access control technologies
Familiarity with platforms such as Kantech-Entrapass, Virtual Keypad, Keri, CCure, Paxton, Premisys, ExacqVision, Axis Communications, and Speco
Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, video installations, cabling, and hardware configuration
Experience with networking, system integration, and Windows environments (including virtual machines)
Understanding of architectural and control requirements for secure door access systems
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
