McCarthy Building Companies, Inc.McCarthy is hiring full-time Low Voltage Technicians for a construction project located in Arizona. This position will have travel opportunities. - Reading and interpreting blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
- Installing security systems, fire alarms, audiovisual equipment, telecommunications systems, and networking infrastructure.
- Pulling, routing, installing, and terminating structured cabling infrastructure in a commercial and solar environment.
- Installing NVR systems and associated hardware, including cameras, switches, and storage devices, according to project specifications and design plans.
- Provide Access Control Installation, Service and Maintenance.
- Physically pulling CAT5 CAT6A cables through conduits, cable trays, walls, ceilings, and floors.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Testing and diagnosing system malfunctions to ensure functionality.
- Collaborating with other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- All other duties assigned by site leadership.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the physical security, fire alarm or low voltage communication industry installing fields.
- Ability to travel to various project sites, including those located at considerable distances.
- Must possess reliable transportation for commuting to job sites.
- Understand the use of technical tools and testing equipment necessary for high-quality cabling installations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, pushing, pulling of material weighing 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and precipitation.
- Unrestricted use of hands, arms, shoulders, upper/lower back, visual acuity, depth, and color perception.
- Self-motivated and takes initiative.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Age 18+
