Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Programmer / Service Technician to join our electronic security systems team. This role is responsible for advanced troubleshooting, programming, commissioning, and ongoing support of integrated security platforms in commercial, education, healthcare, correctional, and government environments. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing field environment. Only experienced technicians should apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, test, commission, and service integrated security systems including Access Control, IP/CCTV, Intrusion, Intercom, Paging, Wireless, and related low-voltage systems.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Perform on-site service work and remote diagnostics to ensure timely resolution of issues and a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Manage assigned service orders including documentation, reporting, and follow-up.
- Report status, updates, and priorities to the Service Coordinator.
- Provide customer, operator, and technician training on system operation and maintenance.
- Maintain a professional appearance and consistently meet service and project performance goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in electronic security system service and programming.
- Strong troubleshooting background with Access Control and IP video systems.
- Working knowledge of integrated security platforms and manufacturers such as Lenel, Software House, Genetec, Exacq, Axis, Hanwha, and Avigilon.
- Solid understanding of networking principles, including IP addressing, PoE, and basic switching concepts.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.\
- High School Diploma, GED, or Associate Degree required.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites.
- Preferred certifications include Genetec, Software House, Lenel, Exacq, and OSHA 10-Hour.
