This position is responsible for the maintenance program of all physical security systems, hardware, and controls in place across the Trinity River Authority project and office locations. These systems include access control hardware/software, video surveillance equipment and software, alarm monitoring systems, and all other access control hardware. The desired candidate will also have experience in design and construction standards and project management. Using various systems, the candidate will track maintenance requests, hardware use over life, and preventative maintenance. Leveraging security integrator relationships and contracts, this candidate will be the primary point of contact for maintaining security equipment, and also bring additional support in as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Submit, track, and close out maintenance requests submitted through various systems
2. Identify maintenance needs, outages, or faulty equipment, as well as a detailed root cause analysis as needed
3. Create and manage a plan for preventative maintenance programs of physical security equipment
4. Work with project maintenance staff to train TRA employees on security maintenance steps
5. Process, track, and maintain all security maintenance budgets for project locations
6. Track use of time, company resources, materials, and keep detailed records of all equipment taken out of service and new equipment put into service
7. Respond to all emergency maintenance requests from project staff in a timely manner.
8. Assigns priority level to all new maintenance requests
9. Takes initial troubleshooting measures with the support requestor
10. Works with the Planning, Design, and Construction department to check through new security plans as needed
11. Works with the IT department to diagnose possible network outages or evaluate IT infrastructure needs
12. Essential personnel are required to report to work when scheduled during departmental and/or emergency situations, including, but not limited to, extended periods of inclement weather when travel may be difficult. This position is essential because, in the absence of sufficient personnel, the plant cannot operate safely.

EDUCATION
High School Diploma or equivalent – some college or technical school preferred
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 4 years’ experience required as a security installer/integrator
Experience working with security systems and hardware
Experience training/maintenance staff on triaging or remotely diagnosing issues/outages
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certified access control installer
Certified video surveillance installer
Certified Gate technician
Certified alarm installer
Access control system certifications
ASIS PSP preferred
Radio communications
Lift & Fork Lift certified
KNOWLEDGE
Must have knowledge of basic construction practices and project management
Must have advanced knowledge in access control systems, alarm monitoring systems, and video surveillance systems, as well as their communication methods (networking, fiber networking, radio infrastructure)
Must understand badging/credentialing systems.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
A demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and remediate issues with physical security systems and infrastructure, including but not limited to: access control systems, video surveillance systems, alarm monitoring systems, gate and door hardware, locking infrastructure, including key sets/handsets/padlocks, and emergency door hardware.
Must also understand how systems are installed, and the ability to assist internal teams, contractors, and the Physical Security Manager in the design and implementation of new security hardware and systems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires passing a physical and a physical ability assessment specific to the position.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Will require working in various conditions, including confined spaces, heights, in heat, and cold.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Various hand tools, power tools, electronic equipment/networking testing, and electrical testing equipment. Also requires the use of a TRA vehicle, machinery, lifts, etc.
